RV Camping & Outdoors

The Russian River is a summer resort surrounded by hundreds of  wineries in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. The Russian River is popular for canoeing, fishing, tubing, river activities, fishing, beaches, camping and just plain old fun. The main resort town on the river is Guerneville and Healdsburg, however, Monte Rio, Windsor, Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa can't be left out. The Russian River has been a hot spot since the early 1970s for popular family fun, wine tasting, great restaurants, and outdoor enthusiasts.

By far, the most loved and romantic lodging in the Russian River/Sonoma area are Bed and Breakfasts. All Bed and Breakfast have common amenities but each has something special to offer, such as, bathrobes, soaps, shampoo, body lotion, bath gel, hairdryer, full breakfast, fireplace, pool, therapeutic hot tub, massage, air conditioning, wine reception, tv/vcr/dvd/free WiFi, spa tubs, sauna, private balcony, private bathroom, king size beds, quiet surroundings, phones, barbeque area... check it out.

Sonoma County is one of the great wine growing regions in the world. There are approximately over 56,000 acres of grapes. There are many micro-climates within the county that almost any wine type you can think of can be grown. Known to locals as the "real wine country," Sonoma County has fewer tourists but at least as many working farms and wineries as Napa, giving it more the sense of a country getaway. Sonoma County is the second most popular wine district in California, next to Napa Valley.
