Guerneville
Guerneville hosts two music festivals on Johnson
Beach each summer, a Blues Festival at the beginning of the
summer and a Jazz Festival at the end of summer. The Vineman and
Barb's race take place in Guerneville during July and August.
These are qualifier races for the Iron-man Triathlon which takes
place in Hawaii.
Many other visitors rent canoes at locations a few minutes
upstream of Guerneville, such as Mirabel Beach or Forestville,
and spend a day cruising downstream, through calm water and
occasional mild rapids, and making stops on the way. You can
also rent canoes and/or kayaks at the Monte Rio beach and in
Duncan Mills.

Sebastopol
The City of Sebastopol is a small
semi-urban community located on the western edge of the Santa
Rosa plain. It is 50 miles north of San Francisco, 8 miles west

Monte Rio
Monte Rio hosts the best Fourth of July
celebration in the region. With BBQ's, live music, water parade,
and fabulous firework displays, its a must see occasion. The
town also hosts an antique auto show, Easter egg hunt and
numerous seasonal activities.
Windsor
Whether you are a resident of Windsor, or just visiting, you
will admire the beauty of the countryside Town with its
oak-covered hills and valleys, fields of vineyards, and soaring
hot air balloons. As Sonoma Countys fourth largest town,

Forestville
Forestville is located in the coastal region in the heart of
Sonoma County. Forestville's gently rolling hills and impressive
redwoods, lush vineyards, and the majestic Russian River as it
winds its way to the Pacific Ocean.

Jenner
This small village sits just
above the mouth of the Russian River and overlooks one of the
more spectacular parts of this very spectacular coastline. In
the nearby estuary Penny Island is the home of a variety of
birds and a growing colony of river otters. Enjoy the colonies
of harbor seals, sea lions, pelicans, and gulls as well.Bodega Bay
Bodega Bay is located
on the Pacific Coast just 69 miles North of San Francisco. The
most prominent geological feature of Bodega Bay is Bodega Head,
a peninsula that protects the bay from the ocean. The San
Andreas fault runs right through it, separating steep rocky
bluffs from sandy dunes. The Head provides a dramatic vista and
the ideal place to watch whales migrate south twice yearly in
January/February and April/May. Bodega Bay is ideal for fishing,
golfing, horse back riding, surfing, and much more. |
